Daughters reaction to new (new to her) 4Runner

This is my first post! Yesterday I surprised my 16 year old daughter with a great looking 2004 4Runner. She has to help pay for it so she will be invested in it. I found the forum because I was looking for a fix for a drooping visor!
Anyway I thought I would share a short video I made of us revealing it to her. Her reaction was awesome and she loves it.

With all of those good camera angles, all you need are some fancy subtitles and you have yourself a TV show lol. Nice reveal!

Teaching you work ethic! I bet it worked. Lauren has a job and has had to pay $1000 of the cost of this 4Runner. Took her a year to save and when she had 1k, I started looking. :frog:
 
Cool video, awesome gift. My 1st car was a brand new 2 door 1997 Chevy Cavalier that I paid on my own. I was 18 when I bought it and flipped burgers from my sophomore year in high school til my junior year in college:)
 
Great dad there, and welcome to the form. "Does it run", had me rolling.

I can hear it from my daughter in another 4 years. Hey dad, your too old for that runner, why don't you give me that old thing and go by yourself something your own speed, you old fart.
 
wow awesome surprise and great reaction. I dont know what i would have done with a nice car when i was 16, i had an 89 mercury topaz that had over 400k miles lol

I envision that my daughter's 4Runner will have the same VIN as my 4Runner. She's 10. I'm pretty confident it will last another 6 years.
 
Thanks for the nice comments. She is quite the character and a good driver too! I drive a '12 Tundra and its our first Toyota. Seems the quality far exceeds other makes and I think we made a good decision. Wifey got a new Honda CRV earlier this year. From now on we are Toyota/Honda folk! :trophy:

Nothing in the console at all. I think its a natural reaction to look in there. I did it too when looking at the car the first time! The only issues I can find atre the insulation above the motor is falling down and the drooping visor. Going to put Amsoil in it soon and service Tranny.
 
Dude, that is awesome.

If I had gotten a vehicle this nice at 16 I'd have been happier than a swarm of house flies on a fresh 3-coiler.

Also, the 4th gen got 5-star crash test ratings (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) so that should make you feel a little better as a father. I know it would for me. Congrats.
