Just purchased a set of Tacoma struts for my 4Runner. Also got 1.5 spacers for the rear and 10mm spacers for the front. Curios if anyone has a similar set up?

Ya I bought the new bushings. I was thinking about putting the day star 3-2 kit on mine but I've heard mixed reviews about them without aftermarket uca's. I was told by the person I'm purchasing the shocks and struts from that they will level my 4Runner. So with a 10mm spacer up front it should give me 20mm's of lift so about 8/10ths of an inch. With rear 1.5 spacers I figure I'll have a little less than 3/4" rake.

I have the tacoma front shocks and struts with no spacers. Ordered the rear bushings and will put the rear shocks on next week.
Right now I look really level. I didn't really want a lift, just a better ride. I gained just over an inch in front, which is fine. The ride is 10x better.
If you do the daystar and the tacoma springs/shocks up front, you are going to need new UCAs. I ran it without them and it was rough. You have almost no downward travel. So hitting speed bumps doesnt feel too great.
If you go with just the Tacoma set up, it should level it out perfectly. The tacoma springs are progressive rate, so they will handle a little different than stock springs.

The front shocks I'm getting are not the Trd. Do you think that will make a difference with my v8?
The shocks wont make any difference in height. The springs will.

There is a difference between the TRD and non-TRD, but I don't know how much.

I know the Trd coils are thicker than the stock. I guess I'll just have to put it together and find out. Hopefully everything will look fine

I've heard of more and more people doing this as an alternative to the fj suspension swap. You get more lift up front with the Tacoma springs than you do with the fj ones. I actually just bought some over the weekend, take offs from a 2014 with 10k miles for $100. From what I've seen through my hours of research is that you'll get roughly 1-1.5" of lift depending on your truck (v6 vs v8, 2wd vs 4wd) with the Tacoma springs alone. Now if only I could find some fj springs to get another 1/2" out of the rear as I'd still like to have a slight rake
Edit: but to further contribute to your question, I'm pretty sure the non TRD springs don't provide much lift, plus with TRD model struts/shocks you're getting a better quality shock. Everyone seems to prefer the 5100's but you can't beat a set of essentially new Bilstiens for $100

I just joined a fj group on Facebook looking for coils and I got 5 replies within 30minutes. Everyone just asked that I cover shipping. And I think the Trd and stick Tacoma springs are the same size in height. The Trd ones are thicker though.

That makes sense. I'll probably just throw the Tacoma parts on there and see where it sits. Then if need be I'll source some rear springs. Which pages on fb did you check for those springs? Keep us updated and post some pics!

So I've got my suspension put on my 4Runner. I ended up going with the 2014 stock Tacoma shocks with Stock 2014 front coils. Trd fj rear coils and 3/8" front spacers. I sit 1/2" higher in the back. Really happy with the way it looks, but not very happy with the ride. It feels a bit bouncy, I'm curious if it's because I've got Trd coils in the back and stock coils up front. Anyone have any input on this?

Also wanted to add that I've had a few people drive it any they seem to think that it rides fine. Really don't want to scare anyone away from doind this install if it's just all in my head lol.

That is EXACTLY what I'm doing on mine as soon as I can get someone to help! All the parts are sitting in the garage patiently waiting....
Here is mine with TRD Tacoma front springs and 1/2" Toytec spacer, rear FJ springs with Daystar 1.5" spacers, and 2013 Tacoma Bilsteins all the way around. Overall, I ended up with about a 2.5"/1.5" lift. It rides really well with this combo.

I have the taco swap with day star 2.5 up front and ready lift 2inch in the rear .. Love how it rides and the stance looks right to me.

Here is one more picture of mine before I added the Daystar spacers on the rear. The wheel gaps are pretty even but the whole rear of the truck looks low. Compare this with the picture I posted above and you will see the difference. This was FJ springs only on the rear with Taco springs and Toytec spacer on the front.
