Headlights - Sports vs non-Sports
The headlights on my 06 are starting to fog up. I wouldn't mind getting some slightly darker lights but don't think I like the totally blacked out aftermarket lights. Are the headlights on the Sport models noticeably darker vs a standard headlight? I've done some google image searching and sometimes it looks like the Sport models have smoked lights and other pictures make them look like standard lights.
Anyone have any comparison pics? Also, I'm assuming the headlights from a Sport model would fit a non-Sport, correct?

It might be hard to tell if you are just looking at the sport lights themselves, but if a sport and an sr5 parked next to each other you could definitely tell the sport ones are smoked a few shades darker. I prefer the black headlight look but that's just me. And yes, they are compatible

I think all the 03-05 headlights are clear, but the 06-09 sports are darker.
05- SR5 clear?
05- Sport clear?
06+ SR5 clear?
06+ Sport dark?

Are they darker?
Difficult to say as 03-05 are regular headlights with multi angles lenses and 06-up are projector style with clear lenses so it's not really a fair comparison.

Here is my "08 after getting it back from the body shop. The passenger headlight is the dark chrome Sport housing and the drivers side is the bright chrome SR5/Limited housing. Currently I am waiting on my insurance company to decided what they are going to do with the drivers side since it doesn't match.

Once they get you a new one, wanna sell it? I'm thinking about ditching my black ones for some new sport ones.

They will be getting me a matching "Sport" headlight to replace the drivers side. The bright chrome headlight will be going back to the supplier. That should be happening pretty soon since the insurance company approved it today.

Ignoring the mismatched headlights, that front end is so darn good looking.
Might have to consider selling the 04 and grabbing a 06+… wonder what the wife will think?

Yeah, I kind of wish they had painted the lower center section of the bumper cover though. The previous owner had Plasti Dipped that section and I hadn't peeled it off before the wreck.

I ordered a "sport" pair of OEM headlights from 1A Auto, a black housing with halos and a regular(non-sport) pair of OEM headlights from another company and both OEM headlights looked exactly the same for my 2007 sport. I went with the black housing with halos cause I like it.

Insurance approved the shop to go ahead and get a matching drivers side headlight. Just waiting on the shop now.
