My 4R has an aftermarket alarm / remote starter - is the immobilizer still functional

I recently found out that my second-hand 4R has a Viper LE alarm / remote starter system. That's really convenient, but I'm wondering about its implications, specifically regarding the OEM immobilizer and chipped key system.

Does anyone know if the remote starter feature results in a deactivation of the immobilizer and the requirement for a chipped key?

Still need the key to drive off. Unless if you want to really break the ignition steering wheel lock. Then just got a learn how to trick the whole system to complete bypass. I know what is needed to make it work. But not going to let you know.

immobilizer bypass, just learn the actual key code, then when remote start is activated, the bypass sends the signal to make the factory immobilizer think theres a key so the truck can start. still you wont be able to drive the truck away unless you destroy the steering wheel lock.

are you thinking its going to make thieves steal the truck easier?

a good install will include a starter kill relay, only if you get the security function with your brand. it is recommended to do the whole remote start and alarm install. the security part is only a few more wires.

maybe possible to integrate the starter kill relay with current setup.
