Finally found my 4th gen

After 5 years of searching and missing on several, I finally got my hands on my dream 5th gen. It is on it's way down to me and I should have it by the end of the day.

Those were the stock option on the 4th gen trail edition. I believe the later year FJ cruisers came with them too. The 6 lug 80 series did have similar wheels, but not the exact same

nice find op! looks like a clean unit. Sounds like you've had quite the journey finding "the one" so enjoy the heck out of it!

Nice! The rare Trailrunner with locking diff. Looks clean, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Too bad Toyota never figured out to put the V8 in that model!

Couple of questions.

1) Is this where the sticker for the rear diff lock comes from the factory? I've never seen it in this location on any other 4th gen 4runner.

2) Should there be a filler piece between the roof rack mounting points?

Very nice find! The only-for-2009 4th gen Trail Edition. I’d like to know how many were produced but I know they are pretty rare.

Took me about 3 years to find mine and I ended up settling for a 07 vs the 08/09 I wanted haha.

If it makes you feel better I've read the locked 8.0's have a tendency to blow up. I've read the 8.2 is a better buy. Once I get the money saved up, I'll buy one.

Wow, it "only" took a year of looking in metro Atlanta and finally resorting to calling every Toyota dealer on the drive back from an Outer Banks vacation to find our '07 in Greenville, SC in 2014. Had no idea it's been a multiyear ordeal for others.

Yeah I saw many a rusted shit box when I was looking mine. I lucked out and bought from a lady who transported one from a non rusty state, limited, memory seats, and 128k miles.
