Looking for Tips on Driving the Dempster Highway (YK, NWT)

I'm planning on taking my 4Runner on an epic summer roadtrip up the Dempster Highway. It's located in the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada and is mainly a gravel highway.

Just looking for anyone that has:
A) Maybe driven this highway before and has any tips;
B) Tips on long distance driving in somewhat rugged terrain.

You will be fine. I don't think the trip is as bad as people make it out to be. A close friend completed it last summer in his Nissan Murano. He had absolutely no issues. If you have travelled on loose gravel roads, well then you are ready.

Still, prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. (spare, fix a flat, air compressor, water, etc. etc.)

Well if a Murano can make, should be a breeze in the 4Runner. Thanks for the tips.

Freind of mine made that run a few years back. One thing he pointed out was to keep your distance back from the guy in front and move over more to the right with approaching traffic. This will keep the stone chip damage to a minimum.
I'm not sure if it is a concern on this highway but I was on the Alaska Hwy for a short stretch and the wash board was terrible. Maintenance was sporadic at best.

The trip is going to be well documented and pics will be posted. Sounds like I might have to do some off-roading to get right to the Artic Ocean but it'll be worth it.

The round trip is looking to be around 8300km (5157 miles).
