5th Gen Wheels on a 4th Gen
I can get a set of 17" wheels from a 5th Gen Trail Edition and would like to upgrade from the 16" wheels on my 4th Gen SR5. I can't find any info on the specs for those wheels and Toyota wasn't helpful (all they could say is that the 5th Gen is totally different so they wouldn't fit - but they had no specs to support that).
So do any of you know if these will fit, or have any of you tried it?
Thanks for your help.

They'll fit. A 5th gen guy used some FJC rims so...

Chris - how does a 5th Gen using FJC rims show that my 4th Gen can run 5th Gen wheels?
Do you know any of the specs - backspacing, offset?
Thanks

Roughly ( I embellish) 60% of this board runs FJ springs, and 30% use FJ wheels, of which 96.63% of those who run FJ wheels have them painted/powder-coated black.
The transitive property states that if my 4th gen can run FJ cruiser rims, the FJ cruiser can run 4th gen wheels.
Again, using the transitive property if a 5th gen can ran FJ wheels, than using the mutiplicative inverse property we can clearly see that a 5th gen wheel is equal to a 4th gen wheel.
Thus the rim formula is 4th gen=5th gen=FJ cruiser
I'm just being a smartass, no ill words meant.

No offense taken, in fact it made me laugh. Great use of statistics and logic And here I thought I needed measurements
