Finally found the majority of my gas mileage problem

So i took the TR4 to ocean city, md last week...cleaned the f**k out of it before i left..drove two hours..get out..notice my front passenger wheel is BLACK and the rest are spotless..DAMN CALIPER..and also figured out the the 65 mph vibration problem...since my rotors are warped and the caliper is stuck the brake is hitting the warped spot on the rotor and causing vibration..i know that has to be it because you cause feel the warped spot when coming to a stop

All in All...gotta put $100 bucks out for a new caliper and it sucks...hope the brakes are ok..haha

At least $100 will fix it. I have to amputate my right foot to improve my gas milage.:frog:

Thanks OP you just confirmed what I thought my problem was. Now to get to the dealer since I am still under warranty.
 
Well i just replaced the caliper tonight which cost me only 70 bucks! but my mileage got so much better after i did two cans of seafoam so now i have to see how much better its gonna get now....I SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND USING SEAFOAM...1/3 in vac line, 1/3 in crank, and 1/3 in gas tank..worked great! but im only gonna do it at oil changes because it thins out the oil and you can only go 200 miles MAX after you seafoam...so my on-board comp used to read 15.0 MPG now it moves in the 17 MPG range and my RANGE says 305 from the 280 at fill up..i fill up at a 1/4 of a tank and my ODO would read like 198 - 242 miles, now its at like 269 and as high as 298..it was pretty bad...

i use an app on my iphone called CarMinder..i can keep track of repairs and maintenance..for example..it will tell me when im coming close to an oil change....one best part about it is it keeps a gas log and its accurate because i compared it to hand calculation..it helps out alot...the way it can tell you you getting close to an oil change is when everytime you record a fill up you have to put the mileage in so it updates the mileage for everything...awesome app!!

i kno im rambling here soo..yea...Seafoam works great!! Ill update about the caliper!
