Opinions on my suspension plans

2018 TRD ORP with KDSS

Initially was just going to do a spacer lift.

Then I decided on 5100s all around.

Now I am thinking 6112 set at 1.85" in front with 5160 and Wheeler T-13 springs in the rear with SPC UCAs. Stock wheels with 275/70R/17 BFGs.

Goals
Not a race truck.
DD with exploring type wheeling say six times a year. Think Mojave Trail.
I want low maintenance and high longevity.
I'd prefer not to cut up my truck. Kind of OK with a fender trim, not really OK with body mount chop.
Doubt I will tow with it but if so I would add airbags down the line.
No plans for heavy bumpers or rooftop tent but there is a good chance I will add full length skids.
Already have RSG Sliders

Background - I've had half a dozen 4X4s from stock to an over built Jeep TJ. I want to ensure my 4Runner is always a comfortable and pleasant daily driver.

Any problems with my plan? Anything you would change?

Sounds like a good plan. I ran my setup in the beginning 6112 set at 2in and 5160 with stock spings and Airlift when towing. Ride felt amazing. Still run same setup. Just got a little more carried away after reading this forum everyday, lol Still rides amazing and smooth today. Good luck with your ride.

Just go 5100’s as they have the best warranty and save that extra money for other things, go with aluminum skids to keep weight down. IMHO you could probably just drive it stock too... best DD and will do amazing things off road with those tires.

Great way to go also. Lifetime warranty on the 5100. Same on the 6112. But only 90 on the 5160

I thought 5160s had a lifetime as well.

OK so by 90 do you mean 90,000 miles? 90 months? 90 what? Thank you

Your rig. Your rules. I'd just change the tires and drive it for six months. Then decide what you need.

All of this is true, especially the part about how I could just drive it stock with some better shoes.

But then the "I wants" come in.

Looks like the smart money is to go with 5100s in the rear regardless of what I run up front 6112 or 5100s.

Hmmm maybe I am back to 5100s all around 1.75" up front with a 1" spacer on the stock rear springs.

At first my wife was concerned I spent too much time on here, then that I spent too much on the truck. Now after all the amazing places we’ve been in the truck she brags to perfect strangers about it.
