suspension upgrade with no lift?????

I am looking to upgrade the stock suspension on my 2018 TRD Off Road, with the caveat that I am not looking for any lift, and remain on stock size tires (or possibly 255/75.....). I basically want to improve the factory setup while keeping the truck stock.

Any recommendations? Thanks for your help

so if you want the same height, what improvements are you looking for? are you concerned about the reliability? do you want a firmer ride? softer?

what does upgrade mean to you?
 
Basically an upgrade over stock load capacity and something to provide a firm ride and maybe eliminate the nose dive. Just looking for a high quality ride as most of my time in the T4R is highway and city driving. When the stock tires expire I will be placing some sort of AT on.

My off roading is mostly done on the sand, but mild trails will also be in my future.

Agree with that. OP, you should just get a set of 5100's or that Bilstein TRD Pro suspension if you want to keep it close to stock as possible.

This... Best bang for the buck. Very very slight lift but will firm up everything.

This is a great question.

I have a 2018 TRD Off Road Premium with KDSS and would like to carry more weight and also tow a small teardrop trailer while keeping original tire size and wheels.

Extra weight comes from gear in the back, possible front and rear bumpers, upgraded skids, etc.

Also, not a DIY type, so would like to find a shop experienced in working on TR4 with KDSS. I travel frequently in southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado) and east coast (Maryland, Virginia, PA and DC), so shop location not that important.

I agree with the others that have recommended the 5100s. The 5100s will noticeably decrease nose dive. I believe all 4 dampers can be found currently on sale for about $360. I would also recommend putting the front to the 2nd lowest setting for a 0.85" lift to better balance the front to rear. The rear tire to fender gap will decrease to about 1.5".

I would also reuse all the OEM springs as the driver side are longer to minimize the driver side lean. The rear springs would be fine carrying a temporary loads of 300-500lbs. However, if you install rear medium springs and drive with no load in the rear, you will notice the rear to kick up too fast.

If you do change your mind and decide to do a lift, most do the full 2.5" in the front and do a 1-1.5" lift in the rear. And if you don't have a constant 200lbs load in the rear, I'd do a 1.5" coil spacer instead of a 1.5"-2.0" medium lift coil.
