If a 2020 ORP for $45k might be understandable because it's the latest and greatest but he is still screwing you.

If a 2019 ORP $45K, then it sounds like he is not your friend. It should be going for like $35k to $37k now depending on the location.

Tally so far on 2020s - only have found 3 final prices so far.

TRD Pro Army Green - Sold at MSRP - $57k including Tax/License/few extras
TRD Off Road Premium - Sold at MSRP - just above $45k
TRD Off Road Premium - around 7% off MSRP - $42.5k

Not sure the options, but looks to be a standard MSRP for the ORP.

1st Post

The local dealer is getting in four Pro's. Three of which are sold. I was offered an Army Green for invoice. Another dealer offered me a Magnetic Gray for 49,453+ttl on a 51,794 invoice. This was their offers without me haggling. I'll get back with the final cost.

Lancaster Toyota offered the Army Green. New Holland Toyota the Magnetic Grey. Both in south central PA.

Are you mixing up invoice with MSRP (list price)?

2020 4Runner prices:
Invoice: $45,784 + $1,120 Destination Fee = $46,904
MSRP: $49,765 + $1,120 Destination Fee = $50,885

Most folks here that are buying the 2020 TRD Pro are probably buying them at MSRP. If you're getting the TRDP under MSRP you either have some good connections/hook-ups, or live in a region where 4Runners aren't as high demand (e.g. these regions are high demand and hard to get lower than MSRP: West Coast, Colorado, to name a few).

It would be quite shocking to see a TRD Pro go for invoice - I would love to see it. If that happens, it will be a new benchmark price that will have an impact on the rest of the models, I hope we see it. If you get a firm price on one for invoice, let us know for sure. I am hoping to get a TRD ORP for invoice, have them throw in TRD Wheels - that is my current stance, we'll see how this all unfolds in the coming weeks.

I got quoted $34,892.24 for a base SR5. About $900 more for one with the third row. I’m tempted to go this route and add Katzkin later.

The main use will be skiing and mountain biking. Any advice for the best trim level to navigate snowy passes? I’ve searched and searched this forum, and not found a conclusive answer.

I think all trims are fit to handle snowy passes, it will really be the tire selection that will make the big difference. There are a lot of threads that address tire selection and which seem to do better in snowy conditions. Only the Off Road Premium and Pro have crawl control, locking differential, and a few of the additional off road features, but unless you are doing some more hard core off roading, those may not be necessary.

A good set of all terrains with snow rating and a 4WD SR5 is all you'll need. You won't need lockers, crawl control, or A-TRAC for a snowy road. Now if you WANT that stuff, it's a different story

Thanks for the help guys. There is a lot of info to wade through on this forum. It looks like a lot of you do some serious off roading as a hobby.

I always swap to snow tires in winter. It sounds like the SR5 would be perfect. For me the only reason to go up trim would be to get KDSS for nicer road handling, then.

I’m not sure it would be worth the $ to jump trim levels. With CarPlay in the SR5 trim and standard safety features across the board, the SR5 is looking good.

I really like the SR5 Premium - as you get the softex and Push Button start, not sure if the standard SR5 has Push Button, but that may not be on the list of must have's. I really want the KDSS, so kind of forced to go Off Road Premium. But that is also pushing me towards the extended warranty as I don't want that to fail just out of Warranty. Check the thread for extended warranty, and you will be shocked how cheap a 100-125k mile warranty is.

Great info, thanks for the post! This is really helpful for those of us about to start the negotiating process. It is really good to know early on where the dealers are willing to budge. Looks like you got around 7.5% below MSRP, which is good for the first wave. Congrats on your new Ride, I am looking for the exact vehicle, with KDSS though. Gonna be a long 2 weeks for you I'm sure.

I have to ask...
I did not do a tremendous amount of haggling on my 2019 ORP a month ago, and drove away with it at $36720 plus ttl. Do you feel like the features you are getting justify the price??
