Who LOOOOOOVEEEEEEEES the fake hood scoops?

I hate the fake hood scoops. I think they look like crap. I wished the trd off road premium came without a fake hood scoop then I would get one.

Why put something that does nothing. This belongs IN REAL MUSCLE CARS.

If we build it they will buy it mentality from toyo.

So you lovem or hatem?

I had an 03 Sport and HATED the hood scoop. Driving into town early in the morning I had the worst glare off of the hood scoop and right into my eyes while driving. I think the fact that it's not functional makes it absolutely pointless and therefore dumb

You barely even wanted to buy a 4x4 car and had your heart set on a 4x2 SR5.

Why are you even considering buying an Off-Road? If you don't want a hood scoop there are a hundred people in your area who'd trade you hoods in a heartbeat so that they can have a hood scoop.

Smells like a troll.

Also, muscle cars don't need hood scoops unless:
1. They're old and carbureted.
2. The can't get adequate airflow through the front of the car.
3. They have them for looks.

Number 3 is really the only one that holds true in most all cases.

You can always trade your scooped hood with a another T4R member. There are plenty on here looking to do the swap.

Agree, if it was actually functional I would be more about it.

I get it though, you need something else to separate from the SR5/Limited models.

Dont want no minivan.

I drive mixed dirt sand to get to staging area on my 2wd ranger towing a trailer so after thinking about it 4wd it is. Plus towing up hill in the mountains covered in snow in 2wd not best situation. Can get by.... But ifffy.

I do hate fake scoops and vents, but I kinda want one on my sr5p... then again, my Subaru STI went FMIC, and doesn't need the scoop anymore, but I dare not delete it!

I use mine. It's a great place to set a big plate of food and a beer.

Come to think of it, if it flipped up to reveal two insulated drink holders it would be even better. Or four. My wife would fill them with seashells.

If that's all you want it for - dirt roads and snow with towing, highlander is still a better option for you. Just put some M+S ATs on it.

I like it, I put stuff on it all the time, its the only flat spot in the front of the truck.

Of course I would love it if it had a diesel inter-cooler underneath it :

Fighting a pointless battle. He's already convinced himself that a 4Runner is the best pick for a tow rig for mountain passes...

The issue is similar to the Star Belly Sneetches by Dr. Suess.
Many without want one, those with one feel special.
