03 with Fj Steel and tires

Hey everyone just wanted to post a pic of my newly fitted fj steels with the stock bridgestone duelers at 265/70. Couldnt really find a pic when I was looking to see what they looked like on a 4r. They do fit and clear, enjoy.

Looks good. Will look even better with more meaty tires. Did you paint the wheels urself, or bought it as it is? How much did they cost ya?
 
I personally don't care for solid black wheels on these 4Runners eitehr, but as long as you like it, that's all that matters. Try to post a better pic.... its kinda hard to make them out.
 
Kinda makes it look like a military or government escort vehicle...all you need is some bullet resist glass, Kevlar armor and a minigun on top...
 
That looks worse than I thought it would... Was planning on trying FJ Steelies on my 4Runner... but I'm not liking those phone dial style steel wheels now that I see them. Guess its back to the drawing board to find some solid steel wheels that look good...
 
u guys are brutal, its the guys first post :) What a warm welcome to the new T....4.....Ranyian?? I think it would look better if you didn't have the 2 tone, and paint the wheel weights. Thanks for posting, I was looking into a set of these too. Now...not so much, but I do hope you like em!
 
As long as you like it, I guess. No problem with black wheels or steel wheels, but those do look like spares. Maybe some spidertrax would help?

I didn't mean to sound like I was putting your truck down. I'm just not a fan of the way the FJ Rims ended up looking, I had wanted to put them on my truck, but now that I seem them on the vehicles I can see that the phone dial wheels just don't look right. Maybe with some chunkier tires it'd look better.

In any case, welcome to the forum and sorry if we all sound like jerks! :roadkill:
 
I was thinking about blacking out the wheels on my silver w/grey cladding 4R. Now that I saw this photo I will not.

The right wheels look good black.

These not so much, looks like the wheels off a 92 ford escort that lost it's hub caps. Should've painted the stockers if you wanted black.

P.s. It's the new hybrid version.....it runs off of Prius owners tears....

I wasn't meaning to be ignorant, stating my opinion that I don't care for solid black wheels on these T4R's, but I know there are others on here that are. in teh end, as long as you like it that is all that matters.

I love the look of black wheels but black wheels with the 03 gray cladding doesn't look that good to me.
 
Wow glad I have thick skin, haha! Anyway I got these for a killer deal that was about half the price of new tires so figured I would throw them on and see what they look like. The sport wheels do look better.
