Hey all, to celebrate the recent upgrade to the site I've decided to throw a little T4R trivia contest in 2 weeks. Three of our banner ad sponsors have graciously agreed to donate prizes!!!

Steve at www.XenonDepot.com has agreed to donate an HID kit

Steve at www.Partznet.com has agreed to donate a $75 gift certificate.

Darrick at www.ToyTecLifts.com has agreed to donate a $50 gift certificate.

Edit: T4R.ORG's brand new CafePress store will throw in a prize also (any one of the 12 available products at www.CafePress.com/T4RORG )

Rules: At some point between 9:00 and 9:10 p.m. (Eastern time) on Thursday, August 6th, I will post a new thread in the "general" sub-forum containing 20 T4R trivia questions. You will then have until 11:00 p.m. to PM me your list of answers (DO NOT POST ANSWERS IN THE THREAD PLEASE). Once you PM me with your list of answers that's it - in other words you won't be able to supplement them.

The person who gets the most correct answers wins first prize (they get first dibs on one of the three prizes). The person who gets the next most correct answers will win 2nd place and gets their pick of the three remaining prizes that the 1st place winner didn't want. Similarly, the person who comes in 3rd place will get their pick of the two remaining prizes and fourth place gets whichever prize is left over. In the event of a tie, the person who PM'd me first wins.

In addition, if you're in the top ten you will receive (if you want it :D ) a free T4R.ORG sticker.

Hmmm...good point, I'll change it to start between 9:00 pm and 9:10 pm eastern time and it will end at 11:00 pm. Sort of like when they start NBA finals games to accomodate both coasts :D
 
What about if there is a tie? would it be whoever submitted there's first? Cause almost 2 hrs will give some of us plenty of time to cheat

Yes, if there's a tie in terms of number of correct answers (but I don't think anyone will get them all :satan: ), then the tie breaker will be whoever got their PM sent first.
 
I should mention that Moderators are not allowed to participate. Good idea, since we came up with the questions. One thing I might mention, there will be questions for different generations, so you have to know a little bit about all 4 generations.

And who knows, there may even be a 5th gen question if Toyota officially releases any info by then :)

Good point, right now it is still unsure exactly what it will look like. Hopefully, we won't have any trick questions. All the moderators have to agree with what the answer is. One thing, we are mostly referring to the 4Runner made for the USA, I would guess the answer would be different if your talking about the Prado made for Europe.

Thsoe are both nice gifts, I wish I could participate. Good luck to all you 4Runner experts. (If you win the HID kit, a picture of the final product would be nice.)

Hey guys, I just added a fourth prize. I created a little store at www.CafePress.com/T4RORG where you can buy a dozen different pieces of T4R.ORG stuff - including pet bowls and boxer shorts :D I have no idea what the quality of this stuff is so I'm gonna donate one of the items as a "prize" for this contest. If you are the "lucky" winner of the T4R.ORG store prize please let me know what you think of the quality when you get it, thanks.
 
Wow, I am getting really excited. We even made this thread in it's own section and 4 prizes.

The mods and GatorGreg came up with some good questions which cover all generations of the 4Runner. I hope some members try to join in on the fun.
