That's a great idea. I'm thinking about putting a similar switch in the same location (driver side), but not for seat heaters. Thinking about using the switch to go from 4LO to 2LO, for launching a boat, etc. Thanks for the write up on drilling the hole.
No. The seat covers needs to be separated from the cushion and the heater mat placed between them. Slow and steady. The units come with a black and red wire for the hot and the ground. I found a ground near the fuse box and the hot was added to the fuse box with an add-a-fuse. The switch comes with the unit. Wiring is the easiest part. It's not hard, I just figured it out as I went along
