Doesnt the metaltechs give you 3" of lift in the rear as opposed to the usual 2" from others such as OME?

I have an 07 Limited and I am looking at rear suspension options......I would like to do it piece by piece as funds need to be kept in mind. Can I do just the OME 895s in the rear with stock shocks? Or do I have to do both at the same time? I googled to no avail..sorry if this has been discussed...
