Could you not just open the back plate and pot it yourself? I dont think Ive ever heard of anyone having a bad Hella ballast. Ive seen ALOT of knock off Hella ballast though even with logo and all but the plug is usually on the wrong side of ballast.

Honestly there is no need for 55W. 55W color washes the Kelvin scale anyways. 4300K is the whitest brightest you can get. 5000-6000 is the perfect color. Has alot more blueish/purplish tint people are looking for. The bluer you go the less actual light output is available. 4300K has around 3200...

When your putting on 2 coats of self etching, 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of base, and 4-5 coats of clear you have loads of drying time. Its raining now and this is a horrible pic but you can still see a huge difference. Ill get better ones this week when I get my bumpers back on from painting.
