Finally wrapping up some painting mods. Cowl, roof rack, and sunroof visor next month. Clear corners coming tomorrow so thats why they are out. Didnt feel like putting back in for a day. Im not feeling the fog lights now either. If I dont go with a 2000 front bumper Im changing them out to something else as they look re****ed.

This is just wheels, front valance, rear deflector, and rear bumper cap along with new grill Im not fond of. Billet next month probably.

Clean looking runner! Personally, I think your rig would look best with an '02 grille (since you plan on changing it anyways).

Very nice.. I really like the rear wind deflector. Where abouts did you get the mesh material for the grill. :snacker:

Rear deflector looks great painted with the body color.I have been wanting to do this too,did you do it yourself or have a shop spray it?

I had a shop do it. This color seems to be a PITA to match perfectly though. I tried before I took it to him and it was way off. The front valance was a tad off from him too. Think you need to lay down white primer first as it appears to be a pretty transparent paint.

Yea that grill is gone come next month. I hate the POS. Looks good from a distance but up close its not anywhere near my standards. I got ripped off on that for sure. I got it from CustomCarGrilles.com. They tout it as being made of high quality aluminum and is thick and blah blah blah. You really want to know what it is? Its THE WORLDS MOST EXPENSIVE GUTTER GUARD!!! Thats all it is. I made a template out of gutter guard before I ordered that to see if I liked the look. I did but not something that thin.

Anyways full face billet grille is going in there and bumper next month. I agree with fog lights.....old school but are the most reliable damn things Ive ever seen. I painted the side caps of those today and it cleans up a bit better but they will be replaced with round aftermarket ones as soon as I fine a style I like that can accept HIDs. Also need 99+ clear lens headlamps to match my corners and bumpers I put on today.

The roof rack isnt painted....yet. Thats on list along with sunroof deflector and wiper cowl for paint next. Im sure if you wanted to paint it wouldnt be hard. Prep real good with Dawn soap on plastic and light degreaseer on metal parts. Scuff up or wet sand existing paint. Prime. Base. Clear the hell outta it. The more clear the better from a can as it doesnt build as much as a spray gun. Just dont lay really wet coats though as runs can happen. If you want a flat black you can use a flat base and low gloss or flat clear.

Ahhh its always something isnt it. Im never happy with anything...lol.

good to see another rear deflector matching the body color! a tasty way to dress up the back end.

debadge the lower 2 emblems stick ons would be my advice. Too cluttered and the gold I never have been fond of, mine had them also...

Looking good-I am going for that billet look (but black) or Satoshi mod myself for the grill next. When funds allow...and the MR2 project is running again... and the planets align...
