Insurance adjuster is coming on Friday, I'll let you know what they say. I'm just thinking that 97k miles and manual transmission are pretty rare, I feel like with the right buyer I might make more then insurance will give me.
I don't know I'm young and dumb and really don't know how these...
Me and some friends went down to Moab over the weekend, and I rolled my runner. I got it towed back home, and I'm not sure what to do now. Will my insurance cover me, seeing as I was on BML land? I have USAA and can provide you guys with any other information.
I'm just wondering. I've taken out one of the back seats before and thrown an air mattress back there, but are there other things I could do?
The plan is to basically live out of it for 2-3 weeks this winter while doing as much snowboarding as possible, a 2 friends of mine doing this same thing...
One other thing is I have a lot of front end vibration, hoping the steering bushings fix that.
Come on people I've got a whole crappy hungover Monday tommorow that I need to fill up
I think I might do those steering bushing this too, that feels like it could be improved.
Not really maintenance but I might add BushWacker flares to prevent kick up more rocks and chipping paint
I'm just wondering what I should be getting to while the weather is still bad.
About the truck:
1997 SR5 4Runner 4x4 no diff lock
5 Speed Manual
All stock
80,000 miles
Paints a little chipped in spots and needs clay bar-ing because of rail dust
Were taking it in to get the Serpentine belt...
I'm sorry to anyone that was looking forward to pics and build progress (though I think g3ran3t delivered, hard) I just got super busy this weekend, especially with family being in town and it being mothers day. My hope is to get a late start sometime during the week although theres a million...
One thing I'm noticing about rickashay's, is it dosen't extend past the flipped out of seat bottoms.
I'm not that tall at 6' but still, with the seat bottoms there the length of the bed/trunk isn't long enough...
My thoughts are to make it all taller to clear seat bottoms, and have a third...
You know whats funny? I've also got a 97 SR5 with 17" Tundras....So I guess what works for you..should work for me!
I saw your pic with your fingers between the tire and the fender wall.. was that with some trimming or w/o? cause you never said you trimmed in the build thread
I just meant a tire thats 30-31 inches in diameter, 285 (millimeters?) in width, Maybe I'm wrong I'm new to truck speak.
Idk I was thinking if I went down in diameter and wider maybe they wouldn't rub
Dang.
I use mine as more of a trail head getter-to-er, I just really like that wide meaty look of the 285s.
Whats basically the minimum to run them? OME 881s and 890s?
