So the ABS Control Unit I’ve read about in many places is the skid Control unit for 2001-02? The photo of master cylinder matches what I have but it doesn’t appear to have any electronics. Thank you for the links

I looked in the passenger kick plate and there is NO ABS control unit. I have P0500 code. ABS/CEL/VSS lights are on. When I short E1&Tc cruise control light flashes. No ABS code blinks for diagnosis.

No I did not push and turn so that it is likely not engaged What was it that you turned? The crank bolt? I have it a shop. The guy is supposedly a 4runner guru. He know his stuff. But he want a lot to "trouble shoot". I have this sinking feeling he knows what it is and want to bend me over.

I had heads rebuilt. Put on engine with new head gaskets and new head bolts. Torqued head bolts. Cam cap hole was stripped on 2 bolt holes. Took head in for heli-coil. Do I need to get new head bolt and new gaskets or can I use the ones I just bought.
