There was a lot of that black gunk on the magnets and then like one or two metal shavings (3-4 cms). Okay thanks for the heads up with the gasket, I will take a look at it every 100 miles or so to make sure it isnt leaking, would hate to redo that job :nono:

I did not, the previous owner said his dog pulled on the edge and it ripped. There is not an SRS light. So I should replace the entire dash piece? Because it is all one huge piece.

I have quite a large rip on the interior of my 4runner. It's right around the airbag area. I was going to slap some gorilla glue on it and let it seal, but I'm afraid this may interfere with me accessing behind the dash? Best way to fix this?
