$40 gets you a Scion head unit with the possibility of ipod control/aux input. You would have to spend a few more $$ to get those adapters, but it's well worth every penny. Very little modification needed to fit it into the 4Runner.

I had the Pioneer AVIC N1 in my old Lincoln LS, loved it. Wasn't a big fan of the flip out design, but the whole system itself was pretty easy to use IMO.
