I've had the truck lifted for a while now, but until recently never carried any weight in the back. With or without weight in the back, the truck tracks perfectly straight, but the rear of the truck will jump sideways if I hit a decent sized bump. With weight in the rear and going highway speeds, the rear end will start floating back and forth. To stop the floating, I either floor the gas, or let off completely. Only seems to happen with weight in the back though.
The setup:
Front
-TRD Tundra coils
-Bilstein 5100 adjustable
Rear
-LC coils(not sure how many wraps, sits pretty even with the front)
-Bilstein 5125
Tires are Firestone Destination A/T 265/70/16, tire pressure is not an issue.
I realize a pan hard drop would "help," but would it cure the rear floating at highway speed? I'm thinking I may need to switch the shock/coil combo, but not sure. Opinions?
