Checked the crank sensor, had an ac pulse with a meter. No codes. Replaced the bent valves. got good compression, just no spark. Been told the ign goes thru the tach? Can't find a good wire schematic for the 98

Got a no start problem with a 98 4 runner limited. Got into deep water, up to the fire wall. Replaced the batt, fluids, ecm, ignitor, coil packs, and un-installed the dealer add on alarm system. Had it trying to start for a bit, but now no spark. Could the cam, and or crank sensors be my next...

Found the brain, thank you, tomorrows project will be un-doing the dealer add-on. and disassemble the now frozen ignition switch. Got an used ecm on the way and ignitor.

I have a 98, same kinda issues. No crank, it has the valet button that sometimes lites up and other times doesn't. Got into some deep water and now the horns wont quit. Have one key with the alarm buttons on it and a key fob for it, neither one will work to shut off the horn and still no crank

It was wet to the top of the firewall, and just over the back bumper. Not sure if it's dealer add on or not. How do I tell? The only thing I've been able to find is a shock sensor just up from the brake pedal. Wont crank by key and the horn wont shut off.

How much for a wiper arm switch for 98 limited, and alarm module for same?

We have a 98 4 runner limited and recently, it was submerged pretty good in water, now the alarm system is acting totally shot. How can I bypass the factory alarm?
