Definitely some good waves to be had over here, swell is more consistent in winter but the weather gets super nice in summer... Flick me a message if you ever do, I have the best spots sorted here in the north.

Absolutely, the salt and sand is a major issue here,lots of beach driving equals extreme potential for rust! Working on some fender extensions and mud flaps to help contain it, got front done today pics to come...

Really cool surf spot called Shipwreck Bay (or Ahipara) - in the far north of New Zealand. A fairly easy drive around the rocks - the further around you go, the bigger the surf gets... Just a few pics from my phone.

Yeah it was a really good deal! As far as looks go, it's only used when needed, I use the cargo area and back seats of the wagon all the time. My wife is going to stitch up a fitted cover to go over it, so it will look like a custom fitted mattress.

Just scored a couple of pieces of foam second hand for a whole $7.50, glued em together with spray adhesive, cut em to suit with an electric bread knife (works brilliantly). The wife is going to make up a cover for it. Nice and easy way to set up for quick camping missions... Was thinking...

That looks awesome! Did you fabricate those sliders? I was thinking about modifying the original running boards to be more 'slidery'.

No the factory flares cover em up, although I was thinking about getting 'bolt on' extended flares if I could find em.
