How to remove the entire dash

Thanks a lot for the comprehensive info - I got my dash out quickly and easily and found a rattle that had been driving me crazy. It is not as hard as it looks to get it all out! For anyone interested in New Zealand and Australia, this is also (99%) right for a KZN185 Toyota Surf dashboard...

[How To] DIY Fender Extensions and Mudflaps (with pics)

Yeah mate! New Zealand has some excellent uncrowded surf! Here's a few more pics of that break - it's a left that wraps around many points, the further around you go the bigger it gets - it's one of the longest waves in the country, about 2 hrs from home. East coast is cleaner but less swell...

[How To] DIY Fender Extensions and Mudflaps (with pics)

Thought I'd share a quick rundown of how I installed fender extensions and mudflaps to stop everything flying all over the place with my running boards removed... Mostly sand - it flew everywhere without these additions. Used rubber extensions from my local rubber shop - these are specifically...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Added some DIY mudflaps and fender extensions - having removed my running boards I was getting large amounts of sand, mud etc. flinging all over the show. Rear to be fitted next, it's a little trickier due to the existing mudflap, I'll have to make up some angle brackets. The fronts all just...

A few pics from a Surfing mission in the Surf (NZ)

Definitely some good waves to be had over here, swell is more consistent in winter but the weather gets super nice in summer... Flick me a message if you ever do, I have the best spots sorted here in the north.

That will be well worth doing but you will have to be prepared for the crazy nz roads and drivers!

Absolutely, the salt and sand is a major issue here, lots of beach driving equals extreme potential for rust! Working on some fender extensions and mud flaps to help contain it, got front done today pics to come...

Yep it is one of the best on a good day, we had wild southerly winds that day. It cleans up super nice in the right conditions

Yeah I'm not really sure what to do about that, we all drive on the wrong side to so it kind of works... Haha.

Really cool surf spot called Shipwreck Bay (or Ahipara) - in the far north of New Zealand. A fairly easy drive around the rocks - the further around you go, the bigger the surf gets... Just a few pics from my phone.

    Easy rear sleeping setup...

Yeah it was a really good deal! As far as looks go, it's only used when needed, I use the cargo area and back seats of the wagon all the time. My wife is going to stitch up a fitted cover to go over it, so it will look like a custom fitted mattress.

    Easy rear sleeping setup...

Just scored a couple of pieces of foam second hand for a whole $7.50, glued em together with spray adhesive, cut em to suit with an electric bread knife (works brilliantly). The wife is going to make up a cover for it. Nice and easy way to set up for quick camping missions... Was thinking...

Removed running boards - sand gets everywhere!

That looks awesome! Did you fabricate those sliders? I was thinking about modifying the original running boards to be more 'slidery'.

Removed running boards - sand gets everywhere!

No the factory flares cover em up, although I was thinking about getting 'bolt on' extended flares if I could find em.

Removed running boards - sand gets everywhere!

Hi guys, I am looking for suggestions to stop the mess flying around when I blast it up the beach - I have no running boards, and I really don't want to put them back on, but there is a real mess everywhere when I drive on the sand/mud. Ideas so far: Extended flares (I already have the factory...
