I see why there are so many tire/wheel questions, 'cause it ain't always clear, or clear as mud! Anyway, I have seen some 2010 17" 4Runner six spoke wheels on eBay for $550 plus $118 shipping. Then I'd have to buy some BFG A/Ts 265/70R17 from tire rack, tires cost $772 plus $81 for shipping...

Probably good advice. I'd hate to pop for a set, then find I've got a clearance issue. I wonder if it's a clearance issue that a set of wheel spaces would solve?

They're $969 or something for the set with new Dunlops on 'em and $550 or so for just a set of the rims.

How about a 2010 17" 4Runner rim set with Revo 2s in 285/70/17 with the Burtman 3" in front, 2" rear lift? The tire height(diameter) is 32.8" and the tread width is 8.5" according to TireRack. Would there be any rubbing problems?
