There will be 2 lines, a send and a return, that run from your firewall under your 4runner to a small oval shaped hole up into your rear heater. You can cut these there and drain the coolant into something, then go back to your firewall and route the 2 hoses into each other using the T nipple...

I ended up ordering that kit for my 88, I'll let you know how it is. It's still pretty damn cold here in Montana so it'll be a month or so.

I want to upgrade the windshield wipers on my '88. Can wiper arms from a later year swap onto first gens or is there an adapter to use j hook blades?

3.0 lifespan I got my '88 SR5 with no maintenance records and 220,000. I have no idea if it was well maintained before I got it a couple years ago. It ran fine and was nearly rust free, so I got it. I think with regular maintenance it can be expected to last another hundred thousand, maybe more.

The power antenna was broken when I bought my '88 4runner and I want to replace it with a whip antenna because they can handle trails without breaking. Does anyone know if I can just go to a pick a part and buy one from a random car and expect it to fit the hole in my fender?

I've got an '88 SR5 and the switch inside the steering column broke that changes the headlights from low to high. So now the default setting is high beams, unless I hold the headlights arm on low. I'm having trouble sourcing a new one online, can anyone help me find one please?
