First gen CV axle replacement

Hi guys,

I'm about to replace the outer CV axles and control arm bushings on my '88 SR5 4runner and it's my first time. I've already purchased the axles and the upper/lower bushings (poly). Does anyone have any tips or tricks I should know before going into it? Thanks.

The axles should be easy because you are removing the control arms. I had a shop press out/in my bushings, they charged me 15 each. I would get extra grease for the poly bushings. What brand did you get? I bought Prothane for my Pickup and they gave me ONE small tube of grease for 4 bushings! I would go Energy suspension next time. I ended up buying Formula 5 grease from ES for my prothane bushings. Lube em up good to avoid squeaks later.
