86 4x4 automatic 22re. there's a series of lights not working. including the left side of dash and the center automatic transmission shifter should i start taking things apart and testing connections or is there some simple solution i don't know about?

Done! Update: So it was relatively painless... I felt the learning curve on the first side and broke a couple bolts (one off the upper control arm joint and one off the locking hub cap). Other than that, everything worked out pretty good! The second side was a lot easier and faster. Perhaps...
