Corrosion around PS pump

Hey hey hey

So I recently put in a new power steering pump. The old one was leaking.

Now this is happening... see pics

WTF mate?

I put ATF into it.. dextron. I had put baby powder on it before removing the pump.. you know, to find the leak. Then I washed most of it off... so there was definitely no baby powder on the pump.

I know there is some leaking.. mostly from the tubes, and I will change them soon. But how the F is it corroding so bad? And so far above the leaking point. WTF? Also, the fluid smells off... kinda burntish. And is a murky orange/brown. Also the fluid IS corrosive... it stripped the paint off the wheels below the leak. Which made me believe it was brake fluid leaking from the ABS actuator.. but it's corroding ABOVE the actuator, so unless brake fluid defies gravity... it can't be brake fluid..

Any ideas?
