I run the WRG2s on a Volkwagen. Fantastic tires and I run 4 seasons in Ohio. 100 degree summer, and snow and ice in the winter. I'd put them on my 4Runner, but I have the Revo 2 right now.

Mike how many miles so far on the BFGs? Tires can take 300-500 miles to break in as the top tread sometimes absorbs the chemical that let's the tire release from the mold when manufactured. Aside from the break in period, I agree that the BFGs can be downright scary in wet conditions. This...

According to the penny test I'm still okay (legal 2/32?), and with George I'm right at the top of his head (4/32?)... I'm on a set of Revo originals right now with 58,000 miles and just hitting the first (ribbed) wear bar which looks to be at 4/32". If it were spring, I wouldn't mind running...

They do make this size now. Didn't forever, but recently... I'd say last 6 months came out with the oem size.

That's correct ^^^ I also have a 2003 limited. XREAS was common on the first limited models. One thing I believe, but don't quote me, is that if you have the air suspension control on your console, then XREAS was standard. I could be wrong, feel free to flame away :wow: Anyone know for sure?

I've looked at a 5th Gen... but don't think I'd get one for lack of the full gambit of off road features that Toyota has limited out to only the TE. I'd like to get KDSS and crawl control goodies on a leather interior model. I can't go back to water resistant fabric now, it'll never happen...

We will see how it goes, I think I'll stick with towing out of OD for the first leg and see how it goes. The trailer does have brakes and I have a brake controller installed- it works well and makes towing much more enjoyable.

Well, I'm departing on a 500+ mile trip on Thursday morning pulling a cargo trailer from Ohio to Michigan. Have towed this tandem axle trailer (14x6.5) around town, but not distances longer than 50 miles usually. I'm looking forward to the trip and think the V8 will do well. Any suggestions...

I use a K&N drop in filter, as I never saw much benefit to the cone style filters (other than an increased chance to ingest some water during heavy rain, etc. The K&N drop in is good and I would recommend it. Good luck in your search!

Interesting- and funny I also have the same year and model. I'm curious to see if this is the cold weather. Keep me posted here if it keeps happening and I'll do the same.

Bump for this thread. I've also got an '03 that is starting to get quirky with fuel reading. Today at the gas station after a fill up, it was at 7/8, then at home 30 minutes later it went down to 3/4. Rocking the truck a bit, then it was back to 7/8. Do I have a bad sending unit? Only 7...
