Finished my custom retrofit last weekend. Wanted to be a little different so I went with color matched housings and matte black interior. Morimoto H1 minis and Acme ballasts (retrofit source) and BxBuilt custom hi beams. Super happy with how they turned out.
I also put together a write up for...
Haha the goal was to keep my existing crossbars and not have to buy all new as I already dumped $300 lol. I may just have my local fabricator make some custom rails.

Got a great deal on these LFD crossbars. Was able to mount the traction boards using carriage bolts and plastic knobs for easy removal. I noticed the LFD website doesn’t offer full length rails, any idea of this will be a future option?

The Canadian SR5 doesn’t have the holes to clip in the extra plastic piece the trail has. So you could really use either, but if you go with the trail bumper you’ll have to buy that extra plastic piece or you will have holes.

Just trim the rocker, it looks so much better in my opinion. Recently trimmed mine in preparation for rock sliders to arrive.

Not sure who to quote but tons of us have replaced the XREAS. Mine started to seep around 100k miles so I ripped it out and replaced it with Eibach pro truck shocks, Wheelers T1 front coil and OME 2895E rear coil. Good for 2.5” front and 2” rear. I think the ride is far superior with less nose...
Posted this elsewhere, but in case you didn’t see it, swapped a Canadian SR5 front bumper onto the limited. Wasn’t sure if I’d like keeping fender trim white, but I love it. Sliders and rocker trimming up next.

Thanks man! Here is the link I ordered from. Arrived pretty darn fast and fit was good.

It’s all good, I know people are interested in the swap as it’s not been done before as far as I know, and some don’t even know that Canadian SR5 bumper exists. Cheaper alternative to a full trail or 2014+ style. I’m stoked about it. I used Duplicolor as well over a white primer on the bumper...
Found one from when I first did it. Color matches surprisingly well, I was shocked. It’s held up fairly well, I could’ve done a better job apply it, but it’s lasted the last 10 months.

Man look at this guy’s post history, nothing positive, simply trolling for reactions. I get it, we should be adults here, but this forum should be a positive place to share ideas and with constructive conversation.
