I just decided to move the inside bottom wedges to the outside. I was thinking about if a drink spilled into the dock, that version is just asking for "stuff" to build up in. So I moved them to the outside in the next version.

Just got my new 2021 TRD Offroad Premium a few weeks ago, and had to fix one annoyance today. I hated having to reach down and plug in my phone for Android Auto, and it didn't fit in any of the shelves (Oneplus 6t) so I designed and 3d Printed a dock.

Still needs some work, but it does the job. I know its a small addon, but it fixes a problem for me.

I'd love to do something similar, but how is it in real-world use for you? I have a pixel and it's not like the cable would just go into the port via gravity, I'd think you've have to push it down in the holder with some decent force?

Depends on the tolerances. This version is not perfect, just takes a small push. Most ports take some pressure, not a ton.

As long as both the holder and the cable are secured well enough then a little bit of "force" to push the USB-C in shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. [MENTION=626156]laserdemon[/MENTION] the lower panels of the dash pop out super easy and you can hide that wire real simple.

You may also want to consider a cable with a 90deg lightning plug too (if it'll fit).

i cracked a milestone of sorts.
im sure there are some here who i am behind, and some that i am ahead of...but at this level, with the only problems being a bad lumbar support (fixed under warranty) and the auto door locks-thing to my front doors...thats pretty great

Mounted 1 side of these panels made by a buddy out here.

Mocked up maxtrax placement on them as well, will probably move the shovel to the same panel and rotopax on the driver side.
