Seattle here checking in. I deactivated my Facebook a million years ago so don't go on that group. Would be game for any softroading adventures nearby.
Hey everyone - I have an SR5 and the silver roof rails have to go. Love you, Toyota, but who made that design decision?
I'd like to buy some OEM TRD Offroad black roof rails from someone here on the forums VS going to the dealership (who seemed hesitant and gave me several part numbers)...
Thanks. Does that mean it's on its way out? Or is more of an annoyance? Funny that it started out of the blue on a 1 year old car.
Easy to access and change?
My 2023 4Runner with 7k miles randomly started making a new, fairly loud, metronome-sounding tick in unison with my front windshield wipers. The sound is coming from within the cabin.
The sound only occurs when wipers are on the intermittent setting. Everything is dead silent on all other...
I’ve finally isolated a plastic cracking / rattling / sticking / clicking sound over bumps to where these two pieces of trim meet. You can recreate and temporarily exacerbate the problem by pushing on the vent side of the trim. Seems like that’s the piece that is flexing and making the noise...
I simply can’t deal with the worse ride quality of an LT tire. If I spent more time off-road than on road I might make the switch.
Michelin Defender LTX M/S P rated tires here.
Thanks for that. I’ll see how it changes over time. A bit strange that the smell appears after not being there at day one. Makes me wonder what is truly causing it. Maybe something in the HVAC system?
Here’s a weird one. I have a rubber/plastic smell in my car that is quite strong and most noticeable when I hop in after it’s been closed up a day or two.
The car has under 3k miles on it and this is different than the usual new car smell.
This is with the engine off. Nothing in cabin air...
I think it’s reasonable for someone to be bothered by a constant noise in the cabin, especially if your car is brand new or if you paid a good chunk of change for it. Especially on a car renowned for its build quality.
