Arghhh. I looked again and the serpentine belt had snapped. This car has 266k and bad rust on the frame (with a hole in one part). It may be nearing its lifespan.

My 2005 6 cyl. has been sitting for most of last year with some serious issues, particularly bad frame rust. I drove it last month and the steering was fine, but yesterday the power steering was gone. I changed tre fluid last year, one of the last things I did to it. Why might it go suddenly...

2005 sport, v6. Passenger front caliper. I got the outside caliper open fine but I can't seem to budge the inside caliper. I've been using 3" bessey c clamps on the wings of the brake pad and tried opening up the bleeder valve but it won't seem to budge. Suggestions please.

It was a bit time consuming cause the tank was almost full, but I got most of the fuel out. Luckily I had 3 empty cans and could dump some in another car when I was filling another one. I was also able to thread a nylon strap under the gas tank so I can remove the skid plate.

I found a band clamp near the tank where I could disconnect the hose. Am siphoning now. We'll see how close to empty I can get.

And put tube down the filler cap? I suppose a smaller tube might do better but the siphon tube did not want to make it to the tank from the filler cap.

I need to replace my rear brake lines and gas tank straps. The gas tank is almost full but I can't drive it out cause the brake lines burst. What's the best way to remove the fuel. I tried a siphon hose but it's a long way from the filler to the gas tank.

I hate to lose my 2005 4runner, but a buddy of mine who welds and rebuilds trucks from top to bottom said it would be very expensive to get my rust taken care of. I needed to replace the rear brake lines and the gas tank strap anyway, which I was going to do, but I don't weld, so I'd have to...

I just filed a safety complaint with the NHTSA. My rust is bad in parts.

So there have been extended warranty repairs on the Tacoma for frame rust. Is there anything going for the 4runner? My 2005 sport has a lot of frame rust.
