Stuck brake caliper...

2005 sport, v6. Passenger front caliper.

I got the outside caliper open fine but I can't seem to budge the inside caliper. I've been using 3" bessey c clamps on the wings of the brake pad and tried opening up the bleeder valve but it won't seem to budge. Suggestions please.

If you have the funds available right now, do the upgrade to 5th gen calipers. They still seize, but they are less seizure prone than the stock 4th gen ones.

Not true. My 5th Gens sized faster than my 4th Gens. I'm back to 4th Gen calipers now.

When my driver's side front froze, I bought a NAPA eclipse as the toyota dealer said that's what they were installing if it wasn't an OEM part.

Installed it and been working fine for 25k miles or so.

It was cheap, like 100 bucks and has a lifetime warranty, just keep the receipt.

I have been reading that as long as you flush your brake fluid every 2-3 years your calipers wont seize. Especially in the salt belt states...any truth to that fellas?

OP, time for a new caliper like the others said. I ran in to same problems.

Huh, what brand did you do? There is a whole thread on making the swap, so I did in the hopes it would be longer before seizing.

Then again, I live in the south so I probably get longer out of mine than most.

Get a new brake caliper off Amazon because yours will likely freeze up again after the installation and you'll have to do the job all over again.

I've had stuck caliper on front brakes. Front brakes have two sets of calipers.
