I usually have the ipod plugged in first, but yes, I have done it the other way a number of times.
It gets kinda flakey sometimes, but I can have the runner runnin' with the radio off, plug in the ipod and wait for the startup before turning the radio on. About half the time, I can get it to...
I tried both the black plastic and the silver metal on the gray '04 and I decided to stick with the black plastic.
I think the black would look best on a silver Runner.
Thanks for your help guys :)
Following the wiring, it all came back down to the tail fuse that looked okay.
I took a multi-meter to it and the contnuity test failed..AH-HA!
It looks fine and I can't even see a break, but it doesn't work so it must be the problem. I switched it out and...
Update--I did more checking.
DRL are out. Tails are out with the headlights on but the brake lights work.
I checked the 2 fuses for the tails--both seem okay.
Back out to the garage...
I need some help by someone who knows their way around the 4th Gen electrical system.
I was messing around in my 4th Gen today and I shorted out the (backlit) switch-lights that are controled by the rheostat. These are the solid dark green and the green/white wires that lead into the back of...
Thanks for your help earlier. :)
I'm not really happy with the kuda, though.
I got it about where I want it but the Ipod seems too low and out of reach for me. I might mount something else on the kuda, but in the meantime I'm going to put a proclip on the vent.
I didn't really want to...
I had the same problems at first but I've decided to just work with it instead of making it work the way I wanted it to.
I know you have the single disk so yours may function a little differently than mine but try this:
*Check your Denison settings and set it to +/- ; it acts really buggy for...
The way I did it for mine was to manually set the Ipod to repeat all. You could turn your to "off" from the ipod before you connect it next.
Mine has the 2 second delay from the +/- setting. A pain in the a**, but I tried the 1-6 setting from the denison settings and it went all goofy.
Mine never got any worse.
I just put some alcohol to help dry up the water in the bottom then hosed it down with WD-40 when it was dry.
I'm now in a much drier area, so that may have something to do with it as well.
I got my Runner stuck a few days back. The frame hit solid earth and rock going down a small hill with a sharp drop. The back wheels were off the ground and the front wheels couldn't get traction to drag it down.
I felt like an idiot. I had to have my friend hook on my strap and pull me down...
