i had somewhat of the same symptoms in my tacoma - there was slop in the drive axle that would kind of bind under stress. i have yet to get under it and look. are there zerks in the drive axle on an 08 4runner?

it seems to happen whenever i come off the brakes. its like a thunk. it doesnt really lurch forward (any more so than just letting off the brakes) but there is a noticeable thunk from somewhere under the vehicle.

i do know the 08 4runner i have is at least a foot or two shorter than my 07 access cab tacoma was. i also feel there is a lack of stow away storage. all that being said, i think there is plenty of room to put stuff if you are willing to forego seeing out the back glass

i want to eliminate or reduce the axle wrap

I have an 08 urban runner - from what i have read i have to use the spacer lift since i have xreas. i dont want to do anything except lift the front to level with the rear, or at least closer to level. Which spacer do i need? Is there a major difference between brands quality wise?

What is the best solution for this? Brief search online indicates replace suspension??? I have the xreas system - what exactly can i replace without messing with those components?

I had always though about rigging something that would swing down frontage ceiling and latch somehow on the back if the seats. That was mostly daydreaming for having a much older beat up vehicle. I'll probably just put one of those big wire crates back there to keep my dogs in line.

Does anyone know if it's possible to reprogram the back window button to roll down all windows?

I'm in the same boat. I may just strap it to the roof for the hell of it. I think sliders would make it a lot more useful... At least I could lift half a side if needed
