I have an 08 urban runner. i recently bought an HID kit and installed. They look great but i have two problems. One of the tabs broke on one light causing it not to seat flush in the housing, thus causing a hot spot and odd cut off towards the side of that light. The larger issue is where the total light output seems to focus. I have a very clear horizontal cutoff at what appears to be the correct height. I can see street signs at like a 1/4 mile. I feel like i can see the 20 feet in front of the hood like daylight. Its that in between 20 ft to the 1/4 mile that seems like there is no light.
Can I aim the lights more in front of the vehicle? It seems like they are bright but most of the light isnt usable if that makes any sense. It doesnt seem to illuminate as well as halogen bulbs I've had in the past (however those were reflector housings instead of projector). I have like $120 in the lights and had to just toss it up to a learning experience but so far I feel like i can see better with silverstars...
ALso, is there a way to repair a broken/missing tab. I can get replacement bulbs for $55 (HID or new silverstars) but if i can get the existing one to seat correct i'll see how that looks.
