Yeah, there seems to be some "confusion" even among the guys that should know. I'm certain that my '97 SR5 4x4 has struts in the front. Can't see a reason the LTD would be any different. I bet if you posted a pic of the front tire and wheel well, some of the guys here could tell you for sure...

Gents, I've got a new set of sensa tracs all around. Thinking about firming up the rear with Reflex shocks. I read a comment in another thread about mixing the monroe struts and shocks. Anyone actually have Sensa Trac struts in front and Reflex shocks in Back?

Lyle, I've gone through 2 sets of Michelein LTX M/S's on my '97. They're great tires for highway in all weather. I just put on a set of Cooper Discoverer HT's. Quieter and better road feel than the Michelin's, and about 30% less expensive. I recommend them highly.

Howdy Kavu, Don't despair yet. May take the forum some time to gin up an answer to your question. My '97 sr5 just turned over 175k. It's a good rig and I think you'll have many fine years with yours, once the sluggish/ noise problem gets fixed!
