The power band accelerating through gears 1,2, & 3 is kind of "choppy." The tach looks like it's going up smoothly, but road speed is constrained until a certain point (2 - 3.5k rpm?) when it feels like some kind of brake's been released.
I'd appreciate the forum's insight. Here are some facts:
(1) '97 5-speed 4x4 has about 180k
(2) Have cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body.
(3) Have used BG fuel treatment from NAPA that purports to clean out the fuel injectors
Anyone had luck with the fuel injector service offered at many garages, where they essentially do a power flush on the injectors?
