Negative ghost rider! I found a stock 2nd gen bumper for $50.

Ive seen this done on a truck in a pic somewhere but I think Im about to do it to mine. I want an ARB (of course) but I can afford the $50 for the 2nd gen bumper at the junkyard. I have yet to see a decent used 1st gen bumper for sale and a new setup would run $150-$200. Any advice or ideas...

Well Ive been doing a lot of work to the ol truck and was going to start a new thread. Should I just use this one or start fresh?

Ive looked around a lot before making a thread but all I see is 3rd or 4th gen to 2nd gen. I need to fix the areas around my tail lights and thought about molding some newer lights in there and it got me thinking about doing the same on the front. I dont want newer fenders as I like the box...

I think the SR5 seats are pretty cool myself. I mean its an 85 truck....do we really care that much about the inside? hahahahaha

Ive been thinking rhino black on the whole truck but I love that yoter grey metallic! I cant find ANY front bumper I really like except the one from ARB but I think at this point if I put a $1000 bumper on a $1600 truck Ill be like those guys with $3000 wheels on $800 cars! hahahaha Might wait...

You are correct sir! That is the very reason 85s are the bees knees. Then to find an 85 SR5 is a real jewel!!

I have been looking for THIS truck for a while now! 85 is THE year as we all know and there getting harder and harder to find. I wanted an 85 SR5 (sunroof, power windows, ALL the cool extra shiznit) I picked this up a few weeks ago for $1600! Has freshly rebuilt 22RE with about 5k miles on it...
