i think you meant SFA. 85 was the last year a solid front axle was in the 4runner. And the first year the fuel-injected 22re was in it. All later years are IFS. Buying an 85 saves you the time, effort, and money of the swap. And yeah, that's why they're sought after. 86 on had ifs. 86-87 had optional 22ret, 88-89 had optional 3VZE V6.

85 had ugly interior IMO. Much better off with an 88-89 sr5 and doing a SAS. By the time you were to get that 85 all fixed up and looking good, you could have bought a good looking 88 or 89 and done a SAS.

he may not have the ability to do the sas so a interior swap is easier.

I think the SR5 seats are pretty cool myself. I mean its an 85 truck....do we really care that much about the inside? hahahahaha

That is the hole point of a sr5. An 85 is No big deal but you got a 85 sr5 thats rare

Well Ive been doing a lot of work to the ol truck and was going to start a new thread. Should I just use this one or start fresh?
