Put tires on today and 285 will fit with a 2 1/2 daystar lift ,,,, about 1'' cleareance between tire amd frame when the wheel is cut all the way ....it looks good i will post pics soon

i ordered the 285s man have they gotten expensive in the last 2 years ,, I bought them for my truck 2-3 years ago for 170 each now they 220 each .....WOW

the tire sizes for a 275-70-16 is 31.2 diamneter and 11.1 wide the tire size for the 285 75-16 is 32.8 diameter and 11.4 wide the tire dealer seems to think that 285 will fit but i dont want them to rub

Well i just installed a 2 1/2'' inch tilf on 97 sr5 now will 285-75-16 fit or do i have to get the 275-70-16

Has anyone used a 2 1/2'' daystar lift ????? If so i have a 1997 sr5 i am wanting to lift and wondering what size tires i can go with after the lift , and if the lift is any good ??

he wants the coil spring 1 1/2 lift so that may help

My sons 1997 4runner 4x4 came stock with 265 tires he wants bigger , will a 285-75-16 fit without a lift???

yeaserday we were at the ball field and we went to leave and the rear brakes on my sons 1997 sr5 had locked up , i put in reverse and foward a few times and it freed up , this morning i went out and backed it up and started forward and they locked up again , after they freed up i would ease down...

last night we went out to eat in the 4 runner , and when i put it in drive it sputtered a little and then whent on and run fine the rest of the night, , SO far we have just turning over without starting and now sputtering upon acceleration ,??? any help would be great

turns over fine just will not start until the 3 or 4 times trying and then it starts up ,,,, it runs fine after it starts

i recently purchased a 1997 sr5 for my son , we changed the plugs, wires , water pump and timing belt ... Sometimes after driving if you turn motor off it doesnt want to start back up , you have to keep turning off and on till it starts , would this be a fuel pump????
