Here's the closest reference I've found yet on YouTube. This guy is working on a '99 and his TC actuator has the two sensors, but the inner inner geared wheel I referenced looks the same.

The transfer case actuator on my '98 Limited is not working. After removing it and disassembling it, I now have a questions. I pulled the larger geared wheel from the inside before marking it's position. It was very gummed up with grease and looked nothing like it does in these pictures. Now...
Anybody have any idea? I'm looking to swap the seats pictured into my 4Runner. The photo was sent to me from a salvage yard. I have not seen or had the chance to measure these seats up in person.

Here's a photo my dash panel. When I engage/dis-engage the lever (photo below), I hear a click. 4WD apparently engages/dis-engages likewise, but I don't see any light anywhere to indicate when 4WD is engaged.

I have a '97 4Runner with a manual transmission. I'm just wondering if there's suppose to be any kind of indicator light when I have the truck in 4WD?
This vehicle is new to me so I don't know. There does not appear to be light or anything unless something is burned out?
