When I lock my car using the remote, the lights flash, but I don't hear the beep, beep sound anymore. Is it a fuse issue or something else? I'd like to get it back so I don't have to always walk back to the truck to verify it's locked. thanks

Mine is a 2002 toyota 4runner Sport. I live in NJ, so don't think it conforms to CA emmission laws. Is this part as laborious as the charcoal sensor? They said that it was expensive cause they had to take so many parts off the car to get to it.
