I can get it disengaged in a way that might cause damages. after i push the button to disengage, the light keeps blinking, then I push the gear to D and drive the car in a very low speed. after about 10 or 20 meters, i feel a shake from under the car and hear a "peng", then it is disengaged.

Hi! back with a new issue. Mine is 04 v8 limited, so it's alltime all wheel drive. I have no difficulty lock the center differential, but after driving it for about ten or twenty minutes, it won't disengage. but when i try engage and disengage before i move the car, there is no problem at all...

Yes. the sound is different. i had that problem and already taken it off. it is from the engine area, i think.

Thanks, folks! I've had rodors and pads replaced on the rear wheels. there was high pitch squeaking afterwards. After braking a few times, it is ok now.

heard squeaking and grinding sound and found right rear rodor has developed scoring. i wanna replace the brake pad myself, but i don't have a torque wrench. Does it require a torque wrench to bolt the caliper on the rear brakes? also, the scoring is not wide and deep, do i need to replace the...

Also, Only the right rear disc has issue, so could it be something else wrong other than the pad?

grinding sound when braking no matter running forward or backing, but squeak without braking when backing. i looked at the four brakes. right rear brake disc is mildly damaged, having developed uneven surface. time to replace brakes?
