I haven't been able to find this EXACT problem yet, so forgive me if this has already been covered in some other way. My rear hatch lock stopped working one day. It just wouldn't open, made no noises when I hit unlock, nothing. I disconnected the battery and the door started working again...

For the record the plastic pieces are definitely broken at the bottom, but I don't see any other parts lying around the car - I'm guessing when it broke off, they fell down into the seat! Probably impossible to fix :/ but if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.
