Hi everyone,
Okay so, last night something happened to my headrest on the passenger seat of my '06 4runner. I had the seat all the way down, and, to try to give as LITTLE details as possible, somebody was laying in the seat, facing down, and had their hand on the headrest, which was raised up a few notches. Because they came down on the headrest with a lot of force, it just broke right off.
The two little plastic pieces that the rods go into broke off, the rest of the headrest (the actual headrest and the rods) are in one piece. The little plastic pieces do NOT just clip back on (that would be too easy). My boyfriend thinks they were just glued on and we could just glue them back on, but when I hold them firm in place and he puts the headrest in, even holding the plastic things firm, the headrest still rattles back and forth.
Was there some mechanics inside that we broke?? Is there anything to do, any guesses, or will I just have a rattling headrest from now on.
To be clear I'm pretty sure it does click back in and adjust, but it is just very shaky.
Thanks guys
