I drained the rear diff fluid the other day and it wasn't pretty. After replacing the fluid I demo'ed the noise for a couple local yota buddies and they didn't think it was the diff, but more and more it's looking like I am going to have to take a good sized hit to the wallet :dammit: In the...

I tried greasing the steering stops - 2 of the 4 caps were still in place. The noise is still there and it really sounds like it is coming from the back of the truck. Could it be the rear diff even though it doesn't make any sounds when turning right? Any other ideas?

It only leaks when running and warm so not the radiator or any of the hoses. Judging from where the smoke is, the leak is from the front or passenger side of the motor.

So I took the Runner out the other day and it was running fine. Suddenly it starts getting hot and white smoke was coming from under the hood. I head home let it cool down and then start it up again to see if I could figure out what happened. It was running fine just sitting in the driveway...

That's true didn't think about that - with the bigger tires I probably did travel a bit farther than the 241 that registered on the odometer.
